She is a very loving wife and she gets involved with so many things on base. She always there for who ever needs her. She keeps herself busy while Zach is gone and doesn't complain about being home alone. She is there for her husband at all times. She takes care of their dogs as well as does her art work. Always willing to help when she needed.
I would like to nominate my daughter-in-law Ronni Ellerman for Spouse of the Year 2013. From the moment she arrived at their first base (Yokota AFB) she wanted to make a difference in the lives of not only military spouses and the men and women of her wing, but for the children of military families and the children of the Japanese Community surrounding Yokota AFB. Since being in the Key Spouse role at Yokota, she has planned many functions to gather her community together, she has worked to host Japanese children in the surrounding community to experience western culture by attending Halloween festivities on base, she has planned and sponsored the Children’s Christmas gathering for the wing, she is always there for the spouses and their families in times of need. Ronni has shown her maturity in that she has shown her commitment not only to the Air Force, but to all military branches. She has shown such grace, strength, honesty, love, integrity, empathy, flexibility, patience, but most of all resiliency, all traits that must be apparent in all military spouses. Ronni and my son love their animals, she currently is working at the Yokota Vet Clinic, she has two “babies” at home who are best of friends, Tyson a 100 pound Great Bernese Mountain Dog and Inky her 15 pound Dapple Dachshund, plus all the animals at the Vet Clinic that she sometimes takes home to care for. Ronni is a very talented artist, her paintings are amazing and beautiful, she has an eye for interior design, and her home on base does not look like base housing. Her Yokota friends can tell you that she also is busy being their personal makeup artist and consultant on those days of formal gatherings. I am very proud of my new daughter, I believe she embodies what a true military wife should be, and although she has only been a military spouse for only a year, she has already become a veteran at it. If you chose Ronni for MSoY 2013, she would be a wonderful ambassador for all military branches.
