When does the nomination period close?

Who can submit a nomination for the Armed Forces Insurance Military Spouse of the Year®?
Anyone can submit a nomination; Military Spouses can also self-nominate
Can a military spouse be nominated more than once?
A military spouse can be nominated more than once. If nominated more than once, a candidate should hit accept on subsequent nominations. Those essays will be appended to the candidate's MSOY profile.
What are the eligibility requirements for Armed Forces Insurance Military Spouse of the Year®?
A nominee must be the spouse of a current member of the U.S. Armed Forces.
What if I cannot access the email links or MSOY website?
If you cannot access the links in emails, try forwarding the email to a personal account (e.g. gmail, yahoo, me, aol, msn, hotmail, etc.). If you still cannot access the links, please contact msoyquestions@militaryspouse.com
If I am not currently attached to an installation am I eligible for Armed Forces Insurance Military Spouse of the Year®?
Military Spouses who are not currently assigned to an installation will be grouped in an "unaffiliated" category for each branch of service. The candidate with the highest number of votes in the unaffiliated category will advance to the branch round.
Why is my MSOY candidate profile not viewable publicly?
Following nomination acceptance, MSOY candidates are required to create a militaryspouse.com account. Candidates must click on a link in the account verification email to validate the account. If the account has not been validated, the candiate's MSOY profile will not be viewable publicly (each candidate has a unique url for his/her profile). The profiles will be searchable through the MSOY site on January 8th. If there are account issues, please contact msoyquestions@militaryspouse.com
As a candidate, how do I know if I will advance to the next round?
Following each vote, candidates will be notified about advancement via email. The one exception will be the final vote; the winner will be announced on Thursday, May 9th.
